We currently have 11 girls (boys are also welcome!) in our club, ranging in ages from 6 to 14. Our assistant coach - who also vaults - is 21 and a senior at Seattle University. We compete in Washington, Canada, and California. Each year we send representatives to the AVA/AHSA Regional & National Championships.

The team coaches are Judy Baloghy, Vicki Smith, and Penny Maydak.

Viking Vaulters was founded in June '93 on Bainbridge Island, WA by Vicki Smith. "I was introduced to the sport in 1977 at dressage clinics in San Juan Bautista, CA. These cool games & exercises on the vaulting barrel and a buckskin mare really helped my balance, confidence, and seat. When I had my own children and was teaching basic riding and dressage, I knew it was time to start a vaulting group!"

Viking Vaulters performs at and is available for special events around Puget Sound. We give vaulting clinics to Pony Clubs, 4-H Groups, and riding groups.
